The Prison Administration is a state administration institution under the Ministry of Justice that implements state policy in the field of detention as a security measure and the execution of deprivation of liberty as a criminal penalty.

Requirements for applicants:
Second-level professional higher medical education;
Registration in the Registry of Healthcare Professionals;
Physician specialist certificate;
Latvian language proficiency at C1 level;
Health status and psychological characteristics that meet the requirements set by the Cabinet of Ministers (Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 219 of 10.03.2009 "Procedure for Mandatory Health Examination");
Good communication skills;
Ability to work both in a team and individually;
High sense of responsibility, precision, analytical thinking, ability to work in high-intensity conditions;
Quality preparation of medical documentation in accordance with requirements.
