This is initially a consulting assignment of approximately 12 months via Unik Resurs with excellent opportunities for extension. Tasks and Responsibilities Do you want to be part of developing tomorrow's energy solutions? Simons Energy is now looking for a Functional Safety Engineer who wants to play a key role in ensuring safety and reliability of our global fleet of gas and steam turbines. In this role, you will have the opportunity to combine technical expertise with problem-solving in exciting modernization and upgrade projects that contribute to a more sustainable energy future. You will be part of an experienced team working with functional safety, control systems, and standardized solutions for customers worldwide. About the Role As a Functional Safety Engineer, you are responsible for ensuring that our technical solutions meet applicable safety requirements and industry standards. You work closely with project managers, systems engineers, and other technical specialists to identify risks, conduct analyses, and implement appropriate safety measures. Your Main Tasks Lead and drive functional safety work in modernization and upgrade projects. Perform safety analyses and risk assessments. Ensure that projects comply with current safety standards and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional project teams to build safe and robust technical solutions. Contribute to the development of standardized methods and practices within functional safety. Your Profile We are looking for you who have Experience in functional safety and safety standards, particularly IEC 61511. Knowledge of FMEA, risk analyses, and risk management. Good understanding of industrial processes and technical systems. Experience or knowledge of gas and steam turbines is a plus. Very good English skills, both spoken and written.
