Fryshuset Malmö is seeking a coaching coordinator for United Sisters Fryshuset's United Sisters program operates in several locations across Sweden and has for many years worked to empower young women and non-binary youth. Our goal is to provide tools and build young people's confidence so they make active choices in life. We work to strengthen young people's self-esteem and self-confidence, from a health-promoting perspective and using a solution-focused, feminist, and norm-critical approach. We are a low-threshold activity that exists for those in greatest need. We offer community in a safe environment without performance demands. We bring together young people who, together with our adult volunteers, exchange experiences, talk about feelings and what's happening in their lives, and create various activities for socializing and having fun. Our activities are aimed at young women and non-binary youth between 12 - 20 years old. The foundation of our program is individual coaching, group activities, and open meetings. We are now seeking a substitute coordinator for our coaching program in Malmö. The position is 75%, which makes it possible to combine with studies or other employment. Work is conducted at varying times, including some evening and weekend work. The Assignment You work independently to recruit, train, and supervise volunteers for the coaching program. You are responsible for ensuring volunteers and young people receive the support they need and are informed of all relevant information. You organize training and supervision for volunteers at regular intervals. You recruit young people for the program and conduct assessment and follow-up conversations with participants during their time in the coaching program. You participate in developing and quality-assuring the methods used. You plan and coordinate program activities: volunteer training, group supervision, school lectures, camp programs, and external training/lectures. You assist in seeking and reporting project grants. Conversation skills with a focus on solution-focused dialogue methods are an important part of the position. The role includes contact with external partners and collaborations related to the program, such as liaising with officials who refer young people to the coaching program. You may also conduct both internal and external training for groups on norm-critical approaches, as well as participate in outreach activities such as fairs, festivals, camps, and shared Fryshuset activities for young people. As coordinator for the coaching program, you are part of a working group both locally in Malmö and with colleagues nationally. You are confident in driving independent work and experienced at prioritizing multiple varying tasks. You are communicative and have an easy time connecting with people. Qualifications: Sociology degree or equivalent Conversation skills (MI or other solution-focused dialogue methods) and experience working with coaching and individual conversations Good knowledge of equality issues and mental health Good knowledge of the target group Experience working in a norm-critical manner and in norm-creative processes Can inspire and motivate volunteers and young people Good Swedish language skills, both written and oral Meriting Qualifications We would like to see that you have: A few years of work experience in social work and/or work with young people Experience training and presenting to groups, or creating training concepts Experience building relationships with young people and specifically with children and youth experiencing social exclusion Knowledge and experience working with honor-related violence and/or work with separatist groups Experience in project coordination and/or writing project applications Language skills other than Swedish We work based on Fryshuset's values and the vision "We make it possible for young people to change the world through their passions."
