Jernvalls School is located in southern Sandviken, next to Jernvallen and Göransson Arena where the school conducts its sports activities. Jernvalls School is close to Lake Storsjön and uses that proximity in its teaching. We are now seeking a Leisure Activities Teacher for grades 4-6. WORK TASKS As a Leisure Activities Teacher, you are responsible for the operations of the after-school center, including planning and conducting teaching activities. The position also includes work in the classroom during the school day based on needs and your subject competence. You will be part of a work team together with teachers and preschool teachers. You contribute by: • Planning and leading activities that promote students' learning and social development • Creating a safe and inclusive environment in the after-school center • Collaborating closely with colleagues to achieve common goals • Participating in the school's development work We make each other better by: • Sharing knowledge and experiences in the work team • Supporting each other in change processes • Maintaining open and respectful collaboration QUALIFICATIONS To succeed in this role, you need to be comfortable with a varied workday where you alternate between teaching and leisure activities. This requires that you are secure and stable even when the pace is high and that you maintain focus on what matters. Collaboration is central, as is the ability to communicate in a responsive way and build good relationships. With pedagogical insight, you adapt teaching to different needs and work systematically to create security and continuity in daily life. The position requires: • Leisure Activities Teacher degree with teaching authorization • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written • Good familiarity with the compulsory school's governing documents We would like it if you have qualifications to teach visual arts. Meritorious are experience with digital tools and good IT skills. Before employment can begin, you must present a valid extract from the criminal record register for work in schools and preschools.
