Then we're probably looking for you. Your responsibilities We are now seeking a new colleague for the Culture and Recreation Department's sports group as a Recreation Consultant. The position primarily involves work in the municipality's new Recreation Bank, which allows the municipality's residents to come and borrow sports equipment. You are responsible for encouraging residents to become more physically active by providing tips about activities and club operations, staffing the Recreation Bank, and organizing activities and events, for example during school breaks. There are also work tasks involving grant administration, booking of facilities, and hosting at the municipality's sports facilities. To some extent, you also serve as content editor for the department's website and social media. Your workplace will be at the Recreation Bank in central Linköping. The position involves some evening and weekend work. We are facing an exciting future with several new sports facilities in the works. Your workplace The Culture and Recreation Department with its approximately 260 employees offers multifaceted cultural and youth activities. The department faces new exciting challenges such as construction of new sports arenas, investment in more public art, and development of creative meeting places. The Sports and Outdoor Life department consists of three units working with sports and outdoor development, facility operations, and club support. The department handles grants to sports and recreation clubs as well as allocation and booking of times at the municipality's sports facilities. The department's work is based at Stångbro Hall and the Recreation Bank's premises, in the heart of central Linköping. We currently have about ten people working with sports and outdoor issues at the departmental office and about 25 additional people working with the operation of sports and outdoor facilities. About you We are looking for someone with a higher education degree, e.g. sports science or similar relevant to the position, alternatively a recreation leader or sports consultant education. We see that you have experience working in service and that you have good command of Swedish in speech and writing since it involves daily communication in Swedish both in writing and verbally. It is a plus if you are familiar with club life and have experience with administrative tasks. We also consider it advantageous if you have good IT skills and experience with database systems such as Interbook Go or similar systems. You are a structured and self-directed colleague who efficiently plans, organizes, and drives your projects and work tasks forward. You also have strong collaboration skills and enjoy working attentively with both internal colleagues and external partners.
