LKAB Mekaniska
LKAB Mekaniska is a workshop specializing in steel construction and machine processing. We have the machinery, facilities, and expertise to develop products, design, and deliver everything from small components to large steel structures.
Your Role
As a milling and turning operator with us, you'll work in our manufacturing workshop in Kiruna (Lastvägen) where we produce components for various industrial operations, with LKAB as our primary customer. This could range from pump housings and coolers to unique parts that require custom manufacturing. The team is experienced and consists of around 15 employees.
In the team, we're good at sharing knowledge with each other and you'll receive support and training from day one. That's why we welcome both those new to the trade and those with experience in manufacturing and machine processing. The role is characterized by significant responsibility and you'll have the opportunity to develop in both milling and turning operations by rotating between different machines. This creates a varied workday where you continuously build your skills alongside experienced and helpful colleagues.
In the role, you will, among other things:
Set up, operate, and monitor mills and lathes
Manufacture components according to drawings and work orders
Read and interpret technical drawings
Plan and follow work according to schedules
Participate in troubleshooting, deviation management, and improvement work
Contribute to order, organization, and a safe work environment in the workshop

Requirements:
High school diploma with passing grades
Class B driver's license
Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written
Meritorious, but not required:
Experience working with mills or lathes
Experience reading technical drawings
Experience from a workshop or manufacturing industry
