In 2021, the school had all three grades 7-9 for the first time and now has just over 290 students in total. The school is located in a residential area in Sandbyhov with proximity to a tram line, bus, and green spaces. Adjacent to the school is a newly built arts building where students take practical-aesthetic subjects: visual arts, music, home economics, technology, textile, woodwork, and metalwork. The school also has a fine sports hall and youth center nearby. Your Responsibilities As a lead teacher, you will be a driving force in the school's development work and teach students in grades 7-9 in science subjects and technology. Teaching is combined with mentoring and active participation in the school's collaborative development initiatives. You will be part of a team where colleagues share responsibility for students. You will participate in the school's development group alongside the school's other lead teachers and principal, and will participate in the municipality's lead teacher network. Classes consist of approximately 27 students, and the school works with two mentors per class. This is a full-time position starting by mutual agreement. Your Profile We are looking for someone who holds a teacher's credential and relevant subject qualifications. At least four years of teaching experience after completing your teaching degree is required to hold the lead teacher position. Additionally, you need experience leading development initiatives. As a colleague, it is important that you enjoy collaboration and view shared work as an important part of the teaching role. You actively contribute to your team, share experiences, and work with colleagues to develop instruction. You build trusting and professional relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You are clear and respectful in your communication and contribute to a safe learning environment.
