Ref: 20262134 Responsibilities Are you a highly skilled educator who wants to drive pedagogical development alongside your teaching role? Bergaskolan is now seeking a lead teacher for grades F-3! In this role, you will drive and lead development with a focus on language development as part of School 2028. In close consultation with school leadership, you will have excellent conditions to plan, implement, and evaluate the development initiatives you are responsible for. Your development efforts will inspire your colleagues and contribute to higher goal achievement. The role will primarily involve teaching. You will conduct varied, creative, and engaging instruction both individually and as part of a team for our students. You will find strategies to reach each student and contribute to increased goal achievement. You will plan, assess, evaluate, and develop educational activities in accordance with the school's governing documents and systematic quality work. The lead teacher works at their school site but also has a partly municipal/administrative-wide mandate to share best practices. It is advantageous if you have undergone professional development in language development, reading, and writing. To be a candidate for the lead teacher role, you must be able to document at least four years of excellent work after graduation with teaching experience within the school system through one or more positions. Experience mentoring other teachers and driving development processes based on systematic quality work is considered advantageous. It is also advantageous if you have advanced expertise/experience working with language-developing instruction. Based on evidence-based research, you can develop your work and, with good knowledge and experience, work effectively with relevant digital tools. About the Workplace Bergaskolan is a large F-9 (grades F-9) primary school with an affiliated after-school program. There are also two classes within adapted primary school for older students and an associated short-term stay program. Our facilities are well-suited for the activities conducted within them. Proximity to Limhamn Sports Complex and Sports Hall is something we use well. As of fall 26, the school is restructuring its work and development organization so that assistant principals will have greater opportunity to work closely with their areas of responsibility. The principal leads the overall student wellbeing which includes school nurses, counselors, special needs coordinators, and special educators. Special teachers are also part of the student wellbeing team regarding knowledge development and follow-up. Our pedagogical focus is on language and knowledge-developing work that should permeate the entire school. In our earlier grades, we invest heavily in meeting all our students with a clear focus on reading, writing, and arithmetic.
