In this role, you will drive and lead the work toward School 2028. In close consultation with school leadership, you will have excellent conditions to plan, implement, and evaluate the development initiatives you are responsible for. Your development initiatives will inspire your colleagues and contribute to higher achievement targets. The role will primarily involve teaching. You will conduct, both individually and as part of a team, varied, creative, and engaging instruction for our students. You will find strategies to reach every student and contribute to increased achievement. You plan, assess, evaluate, and develop pedagogical activities in accordance with the school's governance documents and systematic quality improvement work. The lead teacher will work at the school site but also has a partially municipal/administration-wide role in spreading best practices. Qualifications You are a certified teacher for grades 4-6 or 1-7 with qualifications in Swedish/math/science. It is also an advantage if you have completed professional development in mathematics instruction or values-based education. To be eligible for the lead teacher position, you must be able to document at least four years of well-documented work experience after graduation, teaching within one or more school positions in the education system. Experience mentoring other teachers and driving development processes based on systematic quality improvement is considered an advantage. It is also an advantage if you have advanced competence/experience working with mathematics instruction/values-based education. Based on evidence-based research, you develop your work, and with good knowledge and practice, you work effectively with relevant digital tools. About the Workplace Bergaskolan is a large K-9 elementary school with an attached after-school program. There are also two classes within adapted education for older students and associated short-term care. Our facilities are well-adapted for the activities within them. Proximity to Limhamn sports fields and sports hall are resources we use well. As of fall 2026, the school is restructuring its work and development organization so that assistant principals will have greater opportunity to work closely with their areas of responsibility. The principal leads the consolidated student support team, which includes school nurses, counselors, social-emotional well-being staff, and special educators. Special education teachers are also part of the student support team with regard to academic development and follow-up. Our pedagogical focus is on language and academic development work that should permeate the entire school. In our earlier grades, we invest strongly in meeting all our students, with a clear focus on reading, writing, and mathematics.
