Ref: 20262050 Job Duties As a senior social worker, you will provide support and guidance to both new and experienced social workers in their daily work. The primary responsibility of a senior social worker is to provide case consultation and methodology guidance, both individually and in groups. The role includes staying updated on new research, legislation and directives, and ensuring their implementation in daily operational work. You will participate in creating and maintaining routines and functional processes in daily operations. In close collaboration with the section manager, you will monitor the unit's goals and results and drive the unit's development forward. As a senior social worker, you will: Serve as a subject matter expert Support social workers with prioritization in daily work and toward the goal of working independently Identify and drive improvement suggestions Participate in business development Maintain methods and assessment instruments for use in daily case handling Represent the unit in city-wide projects Review written materials and provide feedback Oversee case handling review based on applicable legislation and guidelines Introduce newly hired social workers Contribute to creating a good work environment Qualifications For this position, you must have: Sociology degree (Socionom) Several years of current experience with authority functions according to the Social Services Act concerning children and youth Extensive knowledge of current legislation and case handling of children, youth and their families Good knowledge of and experience working with BBIC Experience collaborating with both internal and external parties relevant to the target group It is advantageous if you have: Experience in foster care work Experience in mentoring or supervising colleagues Experience driving quality improvement work Previous experience working with Signs of Safety Experience working in Lifecare or similar business management systems Management training or other leadership training Since the work involves extensive documentation, high demands are placed on administrative ability, system proficiency and the ability to express yourself very well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. Work as a senior social worker requires strong collaboration skills and flexibility. We work closely in teams and collaborate extensively both internally and externally; therefore, you must be receptive to others' perspectives, competencies and achievements and have strong ability to develop collaboration with others. The work requires good strategic ability, meaning you have a broad perspective on issues and see their long-term significance. You are solution-focused and work in the best interest of the operations while considering and acting in accordance with made decisions and relevant governance documents. You are also communicative, clear, receptive to your counterpart and have the ability to formulate information or messages so that everyone understands. Furthermore, you are secure and stable in yourself and have good ability to focus on the right things and maintain a realistic perspective even in pressured situations.
