Assignment Within Care and Services, Individual and Family Services is its own unit with 20 employees on the authority side. We are looking for a senior social worker to the Children and Youth team consisting of a total of 12 employees. As a senior social worker, you are a close support to the social workers and work together with the unit manager to lead and develop the daily work. You serve as qualified support in case handling and contribute to employees feeling confident in their assessments and decisions. Your assignment includes, among other things: providing case guidance, method support and decision support in daily work supporting social workers in assessments, prioritizations and complex cases ensuring quality and legal certainty by reading, reviewing and providing feedback on preliminary assessments, investigations, decision documents and assignments supporting questions related to SoL, LVU and other relevant legislation following up on case handling and contributing to cases being advanced in a structured and legally secure manner contributing to equivalent case handling through common working methods, structures and assessment bases introducing and guiding new social workers and contributing to their professional development monitoring external developments in legislation, regulations, legal practice, research and methods and implementing this in the operation together with the unit manager developing, implementing and following up routines, processes and working methods identifying development and improvement areas and driving or participating in development assignments within Children and Youth and IFO contributing to method development and implementation of new working methods when needed coordinating work in the group and contributing to structure, prioritization and planning. You work closely with the unit manager and are an important link between strategic direction and practical daily work. Together you create clarity around goals, priorities, quality and development. The role involves no personnel responsibility, but you have an operational and method support responsibility to contribute to well-functioning case handling and a professional working method. You therefore need to be able to combine a coaching approach with the ability to be clear, make well-founded assessments and stand firm in complex situations. Competence We are looking for someone with a social work degree and several years of experience in authority work within the Children and Youth area. You have good experience in handling cases concerning children, young people and families, and very good knowledge of the social services mandate and current legislation, especially the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act on Special Provisions for Care of Young People (LVU). It is meritorious if you have experience of or knowledge in Signs of Safety, intimate partner violence and motivational interviewing (MI). Experience in supervision, method support, quality work or operations development is also meritorious. For the role of senior social worker, we see that you have good pedagogical and analytical ability and can translate your professional knowledge into concrete support for colleagues. You have a coaching approach and enjoy guiding social workers in their professional practice. You have the ability to ask questions, challenge assessments and help employees develop their own ability to make independent and legally secure assessments. You work in a structured and independent manner, while at the same time being good at collaborating and building trusting relationships. You can handle complex situations, make prioritizations and maintain a holistic perspective even when the work pace is high. You express yourself very well both orally and in writing and have the ability to convey legal matters, methods and professional assessments in a clear and pedagogical way. You are confident in your professional role, unpretentious and solution-oriented and have a genuine commitment to legal certainty, quality and development of social services work. Class B driver's license is required. Before employment, we request an extract from the criminal record. This is done as a final step in the recruitment process.
