About the Operation Orthopedics in Dalarna will be consolidated under one common operations manager as of 2026-01-01. The Orthopedic Clinic at Mora Hospital, together with the Orthopedic Clinic in Falun, forms the combined Dala Orthopedics. The Orthopedic Clinic at Mora Hospital provides orthopedic outpatient and inpatient care. The operation consists of an orthopedic clinic that receives 15,000 visits annually and an inpatient ward with 24 beds. The Orthopedic Clinic is an important part of Mora Hospital as a surgical acute hospital. Operative work includes both acute and elective procedures (hip, knee, shoulder, foot, and some hand surgery). Proximity to Dalarnas mountain tourism brings a large influx of acute orthopedic patients during winter months, which has significantly contributed to the clinic's high level of expertise in fracture surgery. The clinic ranks highly in multiple orthopedic quality registers. Orthopedic operations take place at the central operating room, a day surgery operating unit, and at the orthopedic clinic where minor procedures are performed under local anesthesia. Approximately 2,500 orthopedic operations per year are performed at the operating units. Close collaboration occurs with the OR/Anesthesia/ICU clinic and other departments at Mora Hospital, as well as with the Orthopedic Clinic in Falun. Beyond this, we have close collaboration with UAS, USÖ, and Sarkomcentrum at KS. Responsibilities As one of two first-line managers, you will have operational, personnel, work environment, and budget responsibility for the team on Department 41. You will be part of the clinic's management group and work in close collaboration with the operations manager, other line managers, physicians, operations developers, and nursing staff, reporting directly to the operations manager. The position involves a management assignment for 3 years with permanent employment in your base profession. Overall Responsibilities Lead and develop operations on an orthopedic inpatient ward Ensure patient safety, quality, and efficiency in care processes Manage personnel, work environment, and budget in a 24/7 operation Qualifications Requirements: Licensed registered nurse Experience managing staffing and scheduling Several years of inpatient care experience Fluent Swedish, spoken and written Driver's license category B Meritorious: Experience in orthopedic acute and elective care Several years of recent experience as a manager within healthcare with experience leading personnel groups Experience with shared leadership Knowledge of care workflows in inpatient settings Experience with change management and improvement work Good ability to use digital tools and operational systems Experience managing work environment issues Completed or begun Region Dalarna's management training or other training deemed equivalent by the employer Financial or work experience Personal Qualities Strong communication skills and good collaboration abilities Ability to create engagement and participation in the team to contribute to a good and sustainable work environment Structured and solution-oriented with focus on patient safety, quality, and work environment Trusty, attentive, and unpretentious Flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances Application If you have protected personal information, you should not apply through the system but instead contact the recruiting manager directly.
