As a preschool teacher, you are an active and present educator who participates in children's play and takes advantage of their curiosity and ideas. We base our approach on viewing children as competent and valuing many different ways of expressing themselves. Our pedagogical work is inspired by Reggio Emilia philosophy and is based on children's participation and exploration. Language development is an important focus area. We work with a shared language strategy that includes reading aloud, book discussions and conscious work to develop children's vocabulary.
