Ref: 20262010 Job Responsibilities Warmly welcome to Lindängeskolans Adapted Primary School! You will work as a preschool teacher during school hours and at one of our after-school care centers. The role includes care of individual students and work with students with extensive motor and severe cognitive disabilities. You will work in close collaboration with other professions and functions at the school. Through your work, you contribute to promoting students' knowledge development together with others in your work team. Your responsibilities include supporting students in their communication, with schoolwork, and providing support and care in all daily situations. Students' needs vary and often include physical, social, and psychological needs. This may involve helping students socialize and communicate with peers and adults, assisting during meals, with dressing, with hygiene during, for example, bathroom visits, helping with transfers from, for example, wheelchairs to standing frames, administering medication, tube feeding, and various forms of inhalation treatments and breathing exercises. During school hours, you are part of a work team and tasks are led by a teacher with specialized competence. You participate in planning, implementing, and evaluating pedagogical work based on the school's governing documents. Qualifications You are a licensed preschool teacher, or alternatively a licensed teacher with qualifications to teach in preschool class. Previous experience working as a preschool teacher in an adapted primary school is considered a merit. You should have experience with alternative and augmentative communication (AAC), such as visual supports and TAKK. It is necessary that you have a good command of Swedish both orally and in writing. You have good insight into and knowledge of the school's governing documents and can effectively use them in your daily work. You are creative and can adapt your approach and pedagogical methods based on the individual student's or student group's needs. You develop pedagogical activities to be fun, inspiring, and challenging. We expect you to view each student from a holistic perspective, have a positive view of students, and create good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. As a person, you are calm, stable, and attentive and have the ability to create a safe environment for students. You have experience working independently and making decisions, but can also lead and collaborate in work teams. Working with our students means that no two days are the same.
