Job Responsibilities Warmly welcome to Astris Gata 7 preschool, where we care for each other and support one another through collegial dialogues and various development forums in which the rector participates. Our focus area is children's play and movement, and how educators can guide children through play toward deeper understanding of and knowledge about their surroundings. Together in collegial dialogues, we work with SOKA, a Language and Knowledge Development approach where we all deepen our knowledge and simultaneously develop concrete tools to support language-promoting instruction based on the children's needs. The focus of this work is how language can be developed throughout the day's various activities through scaffolding, interaction, and high expectations – to develop instruction, both regarding children's everyday language and knowledge-related language. Astris Gata 7 preschool has two departments, each with large work teams consisting of 3 preschool teachers and 2 child care assistants. Ängön, for children ages 1–3, is on floor 1, and Sjösala, for children ages 3–6, is on floor 2. We fortunately have a House Pedagogue, a roving support person, who knows the children, educators, and operations, which helps create security for the children and a good work environment for the educators. Our preschool is located in the Taube School building with the fantastic Färjenäsparken as our nearest neighbor, and nature is easily accessible. You lead the educational work together with colleagues in a committed work team. Together you plan, implement, document, and follow up on education according to the preschool's curriculum.
