Södergården preschool is located in the southern part of Gävle and has seven departments spread across two buildings. Near the preschool there are many parks and also the southern colony garden. Education focuses on exploration, discovery, and acceptance. The preschool is committed to growing its own food through school gardens that invite play and learning. We work continuously with learning for sustainable development. We operate in a multicultural area and work extensively with language and communication through, among other things, AAC and TAKK. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Are you a pedagogical preschool teacher who wants to contribute to children's learning and development? We are looking for you—an engaged, positive, and driven preschool teacher who is passionate about your mission and pedagogical development work. Your responsibilities include: • Together with your team colleagues, you have primary responsibility for education at the preschool. • You plan and lead instruction both individually and in collaboration with colleagues. • You document and evaluate instruction. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who has: • A degree from a preschool teacher program and preschool teacher certification with authorization to teach in preschool and preschool class. Or ongoing preschool teacher program studies, with degree by January 2027. • Familiarity with and knowledge of the preschool curriculum. • Strong ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. Meritorious if you have: • Experience with AAC and/or TAKK. • Experience with children with special needs. To succeed in the preschool teacher role, you have: • The ability to see what needs to be prioritized, are efficient, and use resources to best achieve results. • A humble approach in your collaboration with colleagues, children, and guardians. • The ability to lead and motivate children and help them thrive and feel good. • You are organized and plan your work well. You are also good at creating open dialogue and adapting your communication based on the current situation. Furthermore, you have a strong ability to help children feel a sense of belonging and inclusion at the preschool. • You are communicative and engaged and have the ability to create good, secure relationships with children, guardians, and colleagues. As a final candidate in the recruitment process, it is a requirement that you submit a certificate from the police disclosure register for work within the school system. You can order the certificate from the police website. Interviews will be held on a rolling basis. Employment type: Permanent employment. Duration: Permanent, start date: 2026-11-02 or by agreement.
