The Department of External Relations is a unit within the university's shared administrative services that brings together expertise in external funding, innovation, and collaboration. Linnéuniversitetet is now seeking a Research Advisor for the Department of External Relations, Section for Innovation and Research Support. The section's mission is to contribute to the development of research and innovation activities at Linnéuniversitetet by offering professional support to researchers regarding external research funding and to researchers, employees, and students regarding innovation and utilization. As a Research Advisor, you will have a central role in strengthening Linnéuniversitetet's capacity to attract external research funding and develop competitive research environments. The role involves working in close dialogue with researchers and leadership, providing qualified advice, strategic analysis, and professional support that creates better conditions for research with both academic quality and societal relevance. Job Description Work tasks that will be included in the position: • Identify, analyze, and communicate relevant national and international funding opportunities for researchers and research groups. • Provide qualified consulting and strategic support in the development, planning, and quality assurance of applications for external research funding. • Coordinate major and complex application processes, including collaboration with internal functions and external parties. • Contribute to the university's strategic development of research and external funding through analyses, decision-making materials, and coordination of university-wide initiatives. • Develop and implement effective working methods and processes within research support, with a focus on quality, clarity, and operational value. • Explore and use AI-supported working methods in an appropriate, efficient, and responsible manner, for example in environmental monitoring, analysis, application support, and process development. • Plan and conduct inspiring and knowledge-enhancing activities that strengthen researchers' conditions to attract external research funding. • Build and maintain good relationships with research funders and represent research support in relevant internal and external contexts. To contribute to a good working environment and development of the operation, you are present and participate in daily work and the workplace community. Qualifications: We are looking for someone with in-depth knowledge of national and international research funders, including Horizon Europe, and extensive experience in qualified consulting work related to external research funding. You have excellent ability to support researchers in developing competitive applications and experience in assessing, quality-assuring, or contributing to the development of research applications. It is meritorious if you have experience leading or coordinating applications for larger collaborative projects, delivering presentations and workshops, and developing working methods and processes within research support. You also have experience with, or a clear interest in, using AI tools in an appropriate, critical, and responsible manner in qualified knowledge work. You have a university or higher education degree or equivalent, and excellent ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in English. Since the working language of the department is Swedish, it is meritorious if you have good knowledge of Swedish. A research doctorate and experience of your own research are also meritorious. As a person, you are communicative and have an easy time building relationships and are attentive to the needs of both researchers and funders. You have a positive attitude and the ability to provide support and assistance with the researcher's needs in focus. We expect that you can work both independently and as part of a work team. You have initiative, are flexible, and have an ability to inspire those around you. Terms of Employment: Employment and scope: Permanent employment. Start date: Start date by agreement.
