Description
This position is a postdoctoral fellowship as part of your development toward an independent researcher. You will work in a strong research group with a cardiovascular focus, with close mentorship and active support.
Responsibilities
Work in data science using population databases, quality registers, and regional electronic health records using the infrastructure at Sahlgrenska University Hospital and regional research platform. Analyses will be performed using both traditional statistical methods (linear and logistic regression, survival analysis) and machine learning and other AI methods, including the development of explainable AI (XAI). You are expected to conduct independent methodological development work, write reports and manuscripts for scientific publications, present at scientific conferences, and participate in grant applications.
Qualifications
You should hold a PhD in data science, biostatistics, bioinformatics, or a related field, preferably with a focus on health data. You should have experience working with medical databases and/or bioinformatics and have an interest in developing your research skills in medical data processing, analysis, and methodological development.
Terms
This is a two-year postdoctoral position with the expectation of independent data-analytical and methodological development work in the cardiovascular field, based on multimodal health data. Personal suitability is of great importance.
