About the position As a research engineer in hardware-near programming, you will be part of the entire development chain for the unit's hardware-near simulation environments, which will contribute to our ability to simulate, analyze, and evaluate current and future systems' electronic warfare capabilities. An ability that strengthens Sweden's security and the Swedish Armed Forces' capabilities. Your work will include software development and hardware-near programming to enable various simulations and field tests. You will participate in measurement campaigns and troubleshooting, both in laboratories and in the field. You will analyze data, simulation results, and field tests to further develop systems and answer questions from our clients. As a research engineer, you will work in one or more project groups, both individually and in teams. About the unit You will join the unit Material-Near Electronic Warfare Analysis, which is part of the Electronic Warfare Department. The unit conducts applied research and methodology development related to material-near analysis of sensor and electronic warfare systems operating within the electromagnetic spectrum. We work, among other things, with developing, operating, and maintaining hardware-near simulation environments used to answer questions and meet the needs of the Swedish Armed Forces and FMV. The operations are largely experimentally oriented, with work performed both in laboratories and in the field, in close collaboration with our clients. Do you have the competence profile we need? Requirements We are looking for you who: - Have a Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Design, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or a corresponding relevant field, - Have experience with programming in C, C++, and hardware-near programming, - Have experience with practical work with electronics and hardware, - Have good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in both Swedish and English, - Have good practical skills and a strong interest in technology and experimental work, - Hold a category B driver's license Beyond your formal qualifications, we place great emphasis on your personal qualities. We are looking for someone with good collaboration skills. You are proactive and can solve work tasks and deliver results independently and in a structured manner on time to our clients. Meritorious It is meritorious if you have current experience in one or more of the following areas: - Software development. - FPGA. - RF experience and interest - Measurement techniques within the RF field. - Radar - Signal processing. - Control engineering - Experimental and/or test activities. - Hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) simulation. - Defense, defense-related research, or the defense industry.
