Duties Lung Development and Regeneration The project combines genetic cell marking and FACS-based cell sorting with snRNA-seq and snATAC-seq (Multiome) from the same cell nuclei, together with spatially resolved methods to: 1) analyze differences in gene expression and chromatin accessibility between cell types and cell states along the airway epithelium. 2) define enhancer-driven gene regulatory networks (GRN = regulatory elements, transcription factors & target genes) that determine and maintain airway epithelial cell identity 3) test GRNs (e.g., synthetic enhancers) and regulators (e.g., transcription factors) and their effects on cell identity and cellular functions in vitro. Analysis of multiomics data, in vitro tissue culture, in situ analysis of gene expression Qualifications Special emphasis will be placed on experimental skill and Master's courses in bioinformatics and statistics.
