The Department of Medical Sciences is a large clinical department with approximately 250 employees and over 900 people affiliated through Akademiska sjukhuset. The department has a broad research profile with strong research groups in various areas. Research takes place in close connection with clinical activities at Akademiska sjukhuset and includes both basic studies on disease causes and the development and evaluation of improved diagnostics and new treatment methods. At the department, there is the newly established research group Psychosis Research and Preventive Psychiatry, which conducts various projects within the field of psychotic syndromes. The research group is led by Professor Simon Cervenka and the group includes several postdoctoral researchers, PhD students, a research nurse, and research assistants. We lead a newly established European consortium in preventive psychiatry, ePreventPsych, which aims to evaluate and implement digital solutions for early detection of psychosis and its consequences. A central part of ePreventPsych includes evaluation of ethical, technical, and regulatory barriers to implementation as well as health economic analyses. Responsibilities As a research assistant, you will primarily be involved in the team around ePreventPsych, including collaboration with international partners. You will assist the project in various areas with a main focus on mixed-methods evaluation together with a postdoctoral researcher in the project. The responsibilities include creating data collection tools using REDCap, recruiting participants, conducting interviews, transcribing interview materials, supporting analysis, collecting and managing data for literature reviews and survey methods, and assisting with article writing. Furthermore, you will serve as administrative support for the research group regarding communication, meetings, and planning. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a Master's degree in a relevant field, such as public health or psychology. Furthermore, you need to: Possess prior experience in psychosis research, particularly with regard to preventive measures for at-risk populations and international research groups is a requirement. Excellent competence in MS Office and good knowledge of AI tools. Very good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Prior work experience with quantitative and qualitative research methodology is required, including survey and literature review methods as well as qualitative data collection, processing, analysis, and reporting, such as interview studies. Experience using NVivo software, statistical programs (for example R, STATA, or SPSS), REDCap, secure systems for data storage and data processing. The work requires good collaborative skills, as well as the ability to work independently and in groups. Also important are good initiative and a structured approach to work, as well as being flexible, service-oriented, possessing good social competence, and having good problem-solving skills. Special emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. Desirable/Meriting Qualifications Knowledge of other languages is meriting. About the Position The position is time-limited to 6 months.
