The Department of Medical Sciences is a large clinical department with approximately 250 employees and over 900 people affiliated through Akademiska Hospital. The department has a broad research profile with strong research groups in various areas. Research takes place in close connection with clinical operations at Akademiska Hospital and encompasses both basic studies on disease causes and development and evaluation of improved diagnostics as well as new treatment methods. You will be part of the Experimental Clinical Chemistry group which works primarily with metabolomics, machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) to study multiple sclerosis. They investigate disease mechanisms and the role of environmental factors in disease development and severity. Work Tasks Work tasks include pipetting, labeling of tubes, sample preparation and mass spectrometric analyses as well as associated data analysis. The position suits you if you appreciate practical laboratory work, have a structured work approach and can handle work tasks that require high concentration and precision. Qualifications Licensed biomedical analyst or degree in biomedicine or another relevant field. Good experience with laboratory work and very good pipetting skills. Very good ability to express yourself orally and in writing in Swedish and English, including scientific documentation. Accuracy, independence and good collaboration skills. Desirable/Meriting Otherwise Experience working on clinically related research projects, particularly projects involving handling and analysis of patient data. Experience with sample preparation of serum and plasma samples. Experience with high-resolution mass spectrometry analysis. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability, particularly regarding collaboration skills, responsibility and a positive attitude in an interdisciplinary environment.
