Work Duties
The research encompasses the development of photocatalytic reactions for CO2 reduction to fuels and proton reduction to hydrogen gas.

The work involves optimization of photocatalytic reactions developed within the group, using iron-based N-heterocyclic carbene complexes as photosensitizers together with various catalysts for carbon dioxide reduction. The work is primarily laboratory-based, but also includes writing texts for scientific publication.
Qualifications
Requirements for employment:
Doctoral degree or equivalent research qualification in organic/inorganic chemistry
Postdoctoral research qualifications in the field of photocatalysis with transition metal complexes
Very good ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing
Merits for employment
Previous research experience with iron complexes with N-heterocyclic ligands for carbon dioxide reduction and hydrogen evolution is advantageous.
Consideration will also be given to good collaborative skills, drive, and independence, as well as how the applicant, through their experience and competence, is assessed to complement and strengthen ongoing research at the department and contribute to its future development.
