Investigations, calculations and decisions As an insurance claims handler, you have an important mission: to help citizens so that the right person receives the right benefit at the right time. You provide the foundation for people to have oversight and feel secure in all contacts with Försäkringskassan. Each individual has a unique situation and needs to be met based on their specific needs. You have contact by phone and in writing. In your work, you are responsible for conducting investigations based on current regulations. You calculate benefits and make decisions on benefits where applicable. As an insurance claims handler, you handle confidential information, which places high demands on proper handling. Therefore, it is important that you, who will work with us, have high security awareness. When you work with income qualifying for sickness benefits (SGI), you meet people who have in common that they have varying or unpredictable income. These individuals are at different stages of life, from those with long-term illness to new parents. SGI determines the benefit level for daily allowances, such as sickness benefits and parental benefits. You work based on several sets of regulations and gather information about income conditions and calculate SGI based on each specific situation, for example self-employed individuals, students or people working in another country. You make decisions in cases from a continuous queue, which means you must be able to balance quality with quantity. In your work, you collaborate with, among others, the Swedish Public Employment Service, the Swedish Tax Agency, auditors and employers. It is a job for you who want to take responsibility. We are looking for you who have a final diploma from upper secondary school or experience and qualifications that can be considered equivalent are service-oriented have a systematic and thorough work approach are stable and can maintain your energy even in demanding situations work effectively with others to reach common goals have good communication skills, both verbal and written have computer proficiency. It is meritorious if you have worked with case handling and made decisions affecting individuals, preferably at a government agency have experience of high work pace, as well as experience working toward production-oriented goals and results have experience working customer-facing to deliver good and efficient service have experience working with customer meetings, preferably in telephone work.
