Nacka District Court is a court with approximately 160 employees and serves as the general court of first instance as well as the largest of Sweden's five land and environmental courts. The land and environmental court handles environmental cases, property cases, and cases under the Planning and Building Act as well as the Water Services Act. The general court handles criminal cases and civil disputes as well as all collection and exequatur matters in Stockholm County. There is also an administrative division that supports the case divisions with matters concerning archives, HR, finance, IT, and security and services. Nacka District Court offers an attractive workplace located in modern facilities in Sickla, with good transportation connections to central Stockholm. We are now seeking one or more legal advisors to the land and environmental court. Main Responsibilities As a legal advisor, you will be part of a preparation organization and work largely independently. Your responsibilities include: - Preparing and presenting cases. - Conducting legal research. - Writing proposed decisions. - Participating in hearings and site inspections. The work takes place in close collaboration with judge-jurists and technical advisors. The land and environmental court has a large jurisdiction, which means that travel with overnight stays occurs. As a legal advisor, you will broaden and deepen your knowledge across several very interesting and dynamic areas of law, thereby acquiring unique expertise. There are good opportunities for development in the role, and once you have gained sufficient experience, there is some opportunity for independent decision-making and specialization. About You To be qualified for the role of legal advisor, you need to have: - Completed and approved law degree. - Notarial qualification from a district court or administrative court. - Very good ability to express yourself both orally and in writing in Swedish. - Good familiarity with digital tools and working methods. It may also be advantageous if you have: - Experience working as a legal advisor or preparation lawyer at a land and environmental court. - Experience from other qualified legal work within the land and environmental court's legal areas. As a person, you are driven, organized, and can work independently and results-oriented. You are analytical and can quickly absorb new knowledge and apply your experience efficiently. You are thorough and very concerned with doing things correctly. You are also attentive, collaborate easily with others, and adapt to new situations. Practical Information The employment is a permanent position that begins with a six-month probationary period. Start date according to agreement. Scope: Full-time Working hours: 08:00-16:30 with possibility of flexible hours. Possibility of remote work to some extent exists after completion of probationary period.
