About the Position
Vamas plays a central role in the municipality's long-term development. We have significant responsibility for ensuring good public services and a sustainable environment. As a vehicle driver with us, you will operate a rear-loader truck with crane and work with the transport and collection of waste in a safe and efficient manner. The work is varied and encompasses several aspects of waste management and recycling. Your primary location will be the Sälen area, but you will also support other collection areas as needed. You will become part of an engaged team that together drives and develops our waste management services.
Job Responsibilities
The role includes, among other things:
Operating a rear-loader truck with crane.
Collection and transport of waste.
Cleaning and servicing recycling stations.
Customer contact.
Daily inspection and safe handling of vehicles and equipment.
Opportunity to learn about various recycling processes and techniques.
Participating in developing operations and procedures.
Your Profile

We are looking for someone who:
Holds a Category C driving license and YKB certification.
Holds a digital driver's card.
Holds certification for operating wheel loaders.
Holds certification for operating vehicle-mounted cranes under 18 ton-meters.
Is practically minded.
Is flexible, reliable, and organized.
Is a problem-solver with a service-oriented mindset.
Has good computer skills.
It is advantageous if you:
Hold a Category CE driving license.
Have experience operating hook-lift trucks with crane.
Have experience driving waste collection vehicles, such as side-loaders and rear-loaders.
Hold ADR certification and "Work on Roads" certification.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Other Information
This position is a parental leave temporary role followed by a fixed-term employment from September through the end of April 2028.
We conduct ongoing selection for interviews. This means the position may be filled before the final application deadline of August 31, 2026.
