As a financial controller, you will have a central role in preparing analyses and decision-making materials that support prioritization, resource allocation, and monitoring. About the Job The role combines qualified financial management with the development of the agency's management and monitoring. You are a key person in the work of developing the Swedish Tax Agency's new financial model and contribute to translating financial conditions into operations-focused management. Together with your colleagues, you prepare qualified materials that support leadership and board prioritization, resource allocation, and monitoring. In your work, you contribute to developing, managing, and quality-assuring the agency's processes for planning, management, and monitoring based on the organization's annual cycle. This means you need to be able to apply regulations for state finance and translate them into working methods that support effective and appropriate management. You work broadly throughout the organization to create a holistic perspective and contribute to management that is clear, coherent, and based on the organization's needs. You also prepare and present matters for the management group, director general, and board. You belong to the finance unit with placement in Sundbyberg, Göteborg, or Östersund. The unit has 20 colleagues. About You To do a good job and thrive at the Swedish Tax Agency, you need to be receptive, think innovatively, and take responsibility. In this job, you should: - have a strong ability to collaborate with others and be helpful, which means you are receptive to others' perspectives and take responsibility for completing shared tasks - have good specialist knowledge in the field, continuously develop your competence, and function as a knowledge resource for others - have very good analytical ability, which includes making well-founded decisions based on facts you have gathered before solving a task - be goal-focused and contribute to achieving the purpose of the organization - have good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, which means you express yourself clearly, are receptive, and adapt your communication to the recipient and situation - be able to analyze information flows, see connections, and make decisions. You should also have: - an academic degree in economics or accounting of at least 180 hp (120 p) - at least five years of current experience with qualified work on financial management within state operations with mixed financing - relevant experience with development work within financial management, for example financial models, planning processes, or monitoring models from a state agency - current experience developing working methods or models that strengthen the link between operations, resources, and results - at least five years of current and relevant experience with financial systems and corresponding experience with BI systems - experience preparing, quality-assuring, and presenting complex financial information for management groups - good knowledge of the regulations governing state finance and experience applying them in your work. It is desirable that you have experience with different financial systems and experience working where system support, work processes, and instructions have been developed in a coordinated manner. Good to Know The employment is permanent and may begin with a probationary period of six months. Employment with us may involve placement in a security classification.
