Behind some of the world's most complex marine projects lies not only technical expertise, specialized vessels, and people who push boundaries—there's also a financial structure that must hold strong throughout. Now we're entering an expansive phase with new, extensive projects, and we're looking for a Financial Controller ready to take significant independent responsibility for the Swedish operations' financial reporting. About the Role You'll receive broad and independent responsibility for financial reporting within Boskalis Sweden AB. The focus is on the company's statutory and external reporting, while you work closely with operations on ongoing financial administration, compliance, and internal controls. You'll become part of Boskalis' Nordic finance team and report to the Finance Manager, based in Helsinki. This gives you substantial responsibility for Swedish operations, with access to expertise and support from colleagues both in the Nordic region and globally. In the role, you will, among other things: Prepare, analyze, and monitor periodic and ad hoc financial reporting to management. Responsible for preparing annual reports and other external financial reporting for Boskalis Sweden AB. Ensure compliance with the group's consolidation principles, internal guidelines, and financial processes. Work on ongoing financial administration and matters related to compliance and internal control. Collaborate with controllers and other finance functions within Boskalis and support and share knowledge with accounting functions in the organization. Participate in finance improvement projects and contribute to developing working methods, processes, and continuous improvements. As projects grow in Sweden, you'll play an important role in ensuring structure, quality, and control in financial processes. The ambition is also to eventually consolidate more of the annual report work internally, where your experience in Swedish accounting and external reporting will play a central role. The position is based in Gothenburg (Nääs Fabriker) and travel will occur as needed. About You You thrive when you can fully own your responsibilities. You've progressed far enough in your career that you can dive deep into an annual report and step back to understand what the numbers mean for the business. You're analytical and structured, yet pragmatic enough to make things happen. In an international organization with many contact points, you understand context, build relationships, and know when to involve others and when to make decisions and drive work forward yourself. Requirements: Post-secondary education in economics Solid experience in controlling, accounting, and business finance, where you've held independent responsibility for qualified financial reporting Experience independently working with annual reports and external financial reporting, with strong knowledge of Swedish accounting regulations Experience working in an international group, where you've worked with group reporting and consolidation, is highly desirable Experience from construction, contracting, or other project-intensive operations is desirable but not required Fluent Swedish and English, spoken and written Why Boskalis?
