Grounds Maintenance Specialist

What you'll be doing
In this role, you're responsible for maintaining the outdoor areas around our properties and ensuring everything is safe, well-kept, and pleasant to spend time in. You'll have a varied day where no two days are exactly the same, with both routine tasks and things that come up spontaneously. You'll work closely with your colleagues and plan the work together to ensure the best possible flow.
Maintain green spaces: lawn mowing, trimming, light pruning, and general tidiness of courtyards and outdoor areas
Take care of walkways, parking areas, and entrances so they're clean, safe, and accessible
Perform basic outdoor maintenance and inspections, such as changing light bulbs and minor repairs
Handle snow and ice removal during the winter season
Keep an eye out for issues and defects, and report them so we can address them quickly
Who we think you are
You enjoy working independently but also being part of a close-knit team where people help each other. You're happiest when you're on the move, doing practical work, and seeing the direct results of your efforts. We place great importance on you being reliable, organized, and having a knack for creating structure even when things get busy.
Have 1 year of experience with practical work, preferably in grounds maintenance, outdoor environments, or similar
Are comfortable working outdoors year-round and have good physical fitness
Are thorough, responsible, and arrive on time – it shows in your work day
Communicate clearly and pleasantly with colleagues, tenants, and others you interact with
Take initiative, see what needs to be done, and like to follow through on what you start
Have basic digital skills to use our system for defect reports and documentation
