Description The Social Services Administration Hisingen is now seeking two family therapists who want to help shape a new security team for children and youth (0–18 years) with a focus on child safety, family involvement, and the importance of networks in creating sustainable long-term solutions. This role is particularly suited for you if you have experience working with both treatment services and statutory authority responsibilities, and if you have the ability to build good relationships with clients and collaboration partners. The security team will consist of two social workers, two family therapists, and one senior social worker with management responsibility, organized within one of Hisingen's assessment units but working across the entire Child and Youth Services Authority, Resources, and Foster Care. Responsibilities A central part of the assignment is identifying, mobilizing, and involving the family and network to strengthen child safety and create sustainable solutions in cases with high concern for the child/youth's situation with risk of placement. The goal is to create sustainable solutions for children to remain at home or, if placed, enable a safe and secure return to the family home. The security team shall also contribute to increasing network placements in collaboration with the Foster Care Unit and jointly develop working methods that enable rapid placements within the child's network. The security team's mandate is to work interdisciplinarily and take collective responsibility for statutory authority work, risk and safety assessments, treatment interventions, and monitoring of the child's situation, as well as working with methods such as safety planning, network meetings, and intensive treatment work. Safety planning involves the team mobilizing parents and their network to develop a safety plan that describes who will do what to ensure the child/youth is always safe and secure. The work consists of intensive family work where the team meets families several times per week. This may involve irregular working hours, which the team can largely influence. The work is flexible, complex, and challenging. Both family therapists and social workers in the security team shall work together on cases and should eventually have competence to perform all work tasks and undergo training for a shared and consistent approach to risk and safety assessments and safety planning. Training in Signs of Safety and experience with network work are assets for these positions. Qualifications The position requires a degree in social work with experience in family therapy with children and youth. We appreciate experience with statutory authority work with children and youth, as well as BBIC knowledge. You are familiar with documentation and have the ability to express yourself in Swedish both orally and in writing. You need good knowledge of child development, family and network work, leading network initiatives, risk and safety assessments, and an interest in development and change work. Experience with investigative statutory authority work with children and youth, safety planning, and training in Signs of Safety, as well as knowledge of Treserva, are assets. A category B driver's license and driving experience are required. You have a natural ability to motivate people toward change with the child's best interests in focus. As a person, you are a flexible and responsible team player who enjoys working closely and intensively with your team colleagues.
