DUTIES Work as a crime prevention family counselor includes: • Being present in environments where young people gather • Establishing and maintaining relationships with young people over time • Identifying risk and protective factors and acting based on these • Motivating change, activities and positive contexts • Collaboration • Assisting with mediation and youth services • Documentation and follow-up We are looking for someone who: • Can remain present in difficult conversations and situations • Has the ability to set boundaries while maintaining relationships • Works independently and takes responsibility in situations where you need to make your own decisions • Is flexible and can adapt your work approach based on situation and individual • Has good collaboration skills and can navigate cooperation with multiple stakeholders • Has understanding for different living conditions, cultures and how these affect young people's circumstances QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or other education that the employer considers equivalent to 180 credits. A class B driver's license with manual transmission is required. To succeed and thrive in this role, it is important that you are a secure person with good empathetic ability and personal maturity. At the same time, it is also important that you are flexible, loyal and relationship-building, and that you have good collaboration skills while also being comfortable working independently. You are organized and have a good ability to plan and carry out your work in an efficient and legally sound manner. You are engaged and interested in the field of work, and have the will and ability to take responsibility for the overall activities and interest in method and organizational development. You communicate clearly in both speech and writing. It is a merit if you have experience from similar work. It is also a merit if you have knowledge of various treatment methods and assessment tools. Employment form: Permanent employment. Duration: Permanent, start date: 2026-12-01 or by agreement.
