Bjurholms Net is a municipal operation responsible for operating, maintaining, and developing the municipal fiber network. We are a small organization with short decision-making paths where broadband and IT work closely together to provide the best possible service to our residents, businesses, and operations. Now we are looking for a field technician who wants to be part of our continued development journey. About the position As a field technician with us, you get varied and independent work where no two days are alike. You will work with everything from installations and troubleshooting to documentation, project support, and customer contacts. We are a small and cohesive group where we help each other and sometimes work across organizational boundaries. Examples of work tasks Installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fiber networks. Fiber splicing and measurement. Customer installations and technical support on-site. Documentation of networks and installations. Collaboration with contractors, property owners, and subscribers. Participation in network expansions and development projects. Operations and maintenance work within Bjurholms Net's operations. Collaboration with the municipality's IT operations when the operation needs it. We will invest in training and skills development for the right person. Qualifications Requirements Class B driver's license. Secondary education or equivalent experience. Good computer skills. Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both spoken and written. Technical understanding and genuine interest in technology. Meritorious Experience with fiber installation. Fiber splicing or measurement. Experience with networks or IT-related work. Experience from telecom, electrical, or broadband operations. Knowledge of documentation or GIS systems (e.g. DpCom).
