What the Role Involves As a Fiber Technician, you work with installation, service, troubleshooting and maintenance of fiber and copper networks. The work is performed in the field, at customer sites and in various types of communication environments, which means great variation in your daily work and close collaboration with both colleagues and customers. You have an important role in our deliveries and are expected to take personal responsibility for ensuring that work is completed safely, efficiently and with high quality. Your main responsibilities: • Fiber splicing, termination and installation of fiber connections • Measurement, verification and troubleshooting of fiber installations • Installation and service of fiber and copper networks • Fault resolution and maintenance of existing networks • Documentation of completed work and measurement results • Customer contact and technical discussion on site • Participation in new construction, expansion and upgrades of communication networks Who We Seek We are looking for you with experience in field fiber work and who enjoys a role where you can combine technology, problem-solving and customer contact. To succeed in this role, we see that you: • Have experience with fiber splicing, termination and signal measurement • Have worked with installation, service or troubleshooting of fiber and/or copper networks • Enjoy practical and varied work in the field and at customer sites • Work independently and take responsibility for your tasks • Are thorough and quality-conscious • Enjoy customer contact and collaborate well with colleagues • Have a solution-oriented and service-focused work approach Requirements: • B-category driving license • Swedish citizenship • Good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written Meriting qualifications: • Robust Fiber certification • Fiber technician certification • Experience working in municipal networks, contractor projects or operator environments • Experience with OTDR measurement and fiber documentation We use tests as part of the selection process to ensure objective and accurate recruitment.
