The position is titled support assistant, but the work involves working as a housing support provider and meeting people in their own homes and immediate surroundings. Housing Support Backa implements decisions about housing support with a special focus on people within social psychiatry, neuropsychiatry, and comorbidity. The unit consists of approximately 25 employees, including two educators, and we operate from Rimmaregatan. Work is mainly scheduled Monday–Friday and primarily during daytime with some evenings, which provides good opportunities for a predictable work week. Evening work and weekend work may occur periodically based on operational needs. Now we're looking for a new colleague who wants to contribute both competence and commitment to our work group. Qualifications We're looking for someone with a degree from the Care and Health Program, support assistant training, or the Children and Recreation Program with a focus on social or educational work. The education requirement is also met if you have a post-secondary specialization in the disability field comprising at least 200 vocational upper secondary points, 120 higher education points, or a combination thereof equivalent to at least four terms of full-time studies. Alternatively, 60 higher education points and at least two years of experience working with support and services for people with disabilities. The education should include relevant points in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other education that the employer deems equivalent. Communication and documentation are important parts of the work, which requires that you have passed Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1. If you don't meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1, you may be offered to take a language test through the test administrator Educateit. It's a requirement that you have experience working in housing support or other activities that the employer considers equivalent. You should also have experience with digital documentation systems, for example Treserva, as well as knowledge of IBIC (Individual Needs in Focus) and SoL (Social Services Act). Experience meeting people with NPF diagnoses and/or mental health issues in your work is meritorious. It's also meritorious if you have experience with the methods MI (Motivational Interviewing) and ESL (An Independent Life). Beyond this, we see a Class B driver's license as meritorious.
