Who are we? Test Scouts is a consulting firm with roots in Gothenburg – and since last year also in Stockholm. We don't aim to be the biggest, but we want to be the best. We are a tight group of experienced and junior specialists who share a genuine interest in testing and quality. For us, testing isn't a step in the process, it's the whole point. We want to be specialists, not generalists who happen to test. We like to team up with tool vendors and stay updated on the market – but we are tool-agnostic. Our job is to recommend the right solution for the customer, not sell a specific stack. The Stockholm office is young and you get to help build it from the ground up – but with a stable and well-established company in Gothenburg backing you. You won't be alone, but you have significant scope to make an impact. Who are you? You have at least four to five years of experience in testing and quality with a clear technical specialty and a strong theoretical foundation. You work with modern software development and understand concepts like pipelines, CI/CD, and the principles behind DevOps and Agile development. You see testing as something much bigger than checking off a requirements specification. You ask "why," work equally comfortably with business and system requirements, and aren't afraid to dig into code, databases, or logs when needed. You've probably gained experience far beyond what was in your job description. You are curious, inquisitive, and creative with the ability to see both details and the big picture. You are driven and self-directed, communicative, and good at building relationships at all levels. You want to get better – and you want the industry to get better. You enjoy, or are curious about, the consultant role and what it entails, and understand both what it gives and demands of you. You want to work focused on testing and quality – and you think the idea of a company that focuses solely on that is a plus. You probably have the following on your CV: What matters most to us right now is that you either have practical, multi-year, hands-on experience with test automation and code, or a very strong niche profile in, for example, standard system implementation – that's where we see the greatest need in the market. You've probably worked practically with tools and frameworks like Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, and Robot Framework. You have at least basic knowledge of programming languages like Python, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript. You understand concepts like CI/CD and DevOps and have worked in either Jira or Azure DevOps. Git, Jenkins, and Kubernetes are familiar terms. API testing is something you understand and have done, for example with Postman and Bruno, or equivalent tools. If you've worked with standard systems, that's a big plus – it's an area we want to grow in and learn more about. It could involve Lumera, SAP, ServiceNow, IFS, Dynamics 365, Salesforce, or similar ERP and CRM platforms. We see a growing need for testers who really understand these systems in depth, not just test around them. We also see significant need within banking, finance, insurance, and the public sector – experience from those areas is an extra plus. What do you get from us? You help customers build up, further develop, and implement working methods and processes that actually work – on their terms, with your expertise. We work closely with colleagues in Gothenburg and meet as often as we can to exchange learnings and maintain our DNA.
