The Opportunity Do you want to play a key role in driving and developing health, safety, and environmental work in a global manufacturing operation that is critical to the energy transition? Hitachi Energy is now seeking an HSE Manager for our Composites Factory in Piteå. The Transformers Business Unit is a central part of Hitachi Energy and enables reliable transmission and distribution of electrical energy worldwide. At the Composites Factory in Piteå, we produce structural and electrically insulating components for high-voltage transformers and switchgear—products that are essential for the transition to fossil-free energy. The facility operates in a complex manufacturing environment with high safety requirements and a strong focus on sustainability, quality, and continuous improvement. Our customers are located both within and outside Hitachi Energy, across the entire world. In this role, you will be a key driver in strengthening HSE culture and ensuring safe, sustainable, and compliant operations at the facility. How You Will Make an Impact Lead and develop a small team of HSE specialists Drive and develop work in health, safety, security, and environment to strengthen operational results and performance Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations, internal policies, and audit requirements Plan and conduct regular inspections, audits, and follow-ups at the facility Lead incident investigations and ensure that experiences and lessons learned are translated into improvement actions Provide training to employees in HSE-related areas and support managers in being good role models within HSE Your Background Relevant higher education or university degree Solid knowledge of Swedish occupational and environmental legislation and practical experience with HSE work Experience with audits and management systems according to ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 50001 You are a structured, methodical, and results-oriented person who is motivated by creating improvements together with others Excellent communication skills and experience presenting and anchoring messages at different levels of the organization Fluent knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written About Us We believe that successful work thrives in a work environment where people feel genuinely seen and appreciated.
