About the Role The contract engineer role involves being important support throughout the contracting process, from bid and project start through implementation, follow-up, and completion. The focus is on creating structure, following up on requirements and deadlines, and providing project managers with the right information to drive projects successfully. The role includes contract and project administration, documentation, change order management, commercial follow-up, and support in estimation and bidding work. An important part is also coordinating and following up on quality, environment, and health & safety work. The contract engineer also contributes to business development by improving work methods, templates, and project structures as well as developing the use of digital systems. The role functions as a hub that holds together information and ensures that important issues are not overlooked, without taking over the project manager's responsibility. Over time, there is an opportunity to develop the role and take greater personal responsibility in areas such as estimation, commercial project follow-up, contract law, quality/environment/health & safety work, and business development. Your Profile We are looking for someone who is structured, thorough, and solution-oriented, and who enjoys creating order and clarity in a project-oriented operation. You have an easy time understanding complex information and can see both details and the bigger picture. You are accustomed to following up on issues, meeting deadlines, and ensuring that the right information is in the right place. To succeed in this role, you need to be communicative and have an easy time collaborating with different functions. You will have many points of contact and therefore need to feel comfortable communicating with, for example, project managers, customers, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal functions. We would like you to have experience from the construction, contracting, industrial, or installation industry and an understanding of how projects are conducted from bid to completion. RequirementsExperience from contracting, industrial, construction, or installation operations, or alternatively post-secondary education in construction, industry, or contracting Good computer skills and experience with digital business and project systems Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written Good knowledge of contract law (AB and ABT) Good administrative and organizational ability Class B driver's license Meritorious QualificationsExperience with change order management, notifications, and commercial project follow-up Experience working in quality, environment, and health & safety Experience with quantification, cost summaries, or supplier and subcontractor bids Experience with internal audits or business development Other Information Start date: By agreement Scope: 100% Employment form: Permanent employment (trial period applies) Location: Sundsvall Application deadline 28/9.
