The Assignment
As a project manager, you will be involved in all phases of the project from planning, design, execution, and through handover to the principal. The project manager is the contact person with contractors and represents the principal during the construction period. This means that as a project manager, your role is to represent the principal by supporting, monitoring, and reporting the contractor's progress to the project leader and/or principal regarding: schedules, costs, quality, safety, work environment, and environmental matters.
You will lead all phases of the production stage, prepare tender documentation, procure contractors, and are responsible for: construction meetings, quantity adjustment meetings, financial meetings (change order management), and coordination meetings.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following experience:
• Strong knowledge of ground and infrastructure processes and documented experience in planning, design management, cost tracking, forecasting, construction management plans, procurement, and production.
• You should have worked as a project manager/site supervisor/construction manager in ground and infrastructure (preferably with experience from water/sewage and/or rail projects) for at least 5 years, but preferably more.
• Desirable experience working with or for the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket) or other public entities.
• You must have qualifications as a work environment coordinator, BAS-P and BAS-U.
• You have strong knowledge of contract and consulting law, AB04/ABT06 as well as AMA and MER construction standards.
• It is a significant advantage if you have experience with concrete, preferably concrete class 1, and preferably also with water/sewage projects.
• You have a civil or technical engineering degree or other construction-related education, or you have acquired equivalent knowledge through extensive work experience.
