Assignment: Enterprise Architect About the Assignment Our client, a public sector authority, has a significant need to create a comprehensive overview of the organization's architecture—how different departments' capabilities and deliverables interconnect, the maturity level of the organization across various capabilities, and when new capabilities arise, such as new or modified technical capabilities or organizational gaps. To create this comprehensive picture, each department must develop a current state architecture that describes the architecture within that department. The current state architecture includes both a current state and a target state. Based on the differences between these, gaps are identified—often called transitions or transformations—that the department and organization as a whole need to work on further. Responsibilities Receive requirements from enterprise architects via the chief architect Develop a concept for current state architecture with accompanying aggregated overview for the entire organization (e.g., templates, diagrams, models) Support the organization's various departments in describing their current state architecture and how it should be maintained over time Aggregate the departments' architectures into an overview at a strategic level Expected Results The departments have developed and maintain lifecycle management of their current state architecture, which is used to support planning and decision-making The organization can use a comprehensive current state architecture to support planning and decision-making Deliverables A current state architecture for each department An aggregated overview of the architecture for the entire organization A concept for how the above is developed and how the architecture is maintained over time Other Assignment Details The assignment may involve travel to the client's other offices during the assignment period, and the consultant is expected to participate in these occasions. Such travel is booked and paid for by the client. Other travel is not currently planned and, if necessary, will be arranged according to instructions from the client's immediate supervisor. Selection Process The client will conduct interviews with proposed consultants. The assessment will be made collectively based on: Ability to account for the assignment's implementation and identify potential challenges Ability to analyze and understand business needs and propose appropriate solutions Pedagogical and communicative ability Collaboration skills in relation to team, client, and end users Experience in relation to stated requirements and any added value criteria Must-Have Requirements At least 5 years of experience working in an Enterprise Architect role Relevant university or college education, or equivalent knowledge acquired in other ways Competency level 3 according to the current competency scale: high general expertise or very high education and competence in the field; experience participating in large assignments and completing assignments with very high quality (this level is typically achieved after 9–12 years in the field); primary responsibility for leading a larger group; very high degree of independence Possession of F-tax registration, which must be documented with a valid certificate of F-tax registration in the bid Should-Have Requirements Experience of being instrumental in developing current state architecture and target architecture at the enterprise level for larger organizations Experience describing current state architecture, target architecture, and transition architectures for different audiences Experience working with Enterprise Architect Sparx Other Requirements Experience must be documented through a reference assignment completed within the last 24 months, comparable to the current assignment, reported according to the provided template Documents to Include in the Bid CV Reference list Price Certificate of F-tax registration Scope and Location The assignment takes place at a public sector authority, with some travel to other offices during the assignment period.
