Do you want to lead the development of future accessible care within specialist psychiatry? We are seeking two unit managers who together want to share leadership of the specialist medical unit. In this role, you will lead the clinic's specialist physicians within Adult Psychiatry Västmanland through an important transition. Together you will drive development work and implement new working methods to meet future needs and create a sustainable and high-quality specialist psychiatric care. Responsibilities As a unit manager, you will share direct management responsibility with a management colleague for the clinic's approximately 35 specialist physicians. Together you will be responsible for operations, staff and finances, as well as leading and developing the operations based on established goals, processes and financial frameworks. Within these conditions, you will have great opportunities to further develop a safe and secure operation with high quality. Demand for psychiatric specialist healthcare is increasing while there is a shortage of several of psychiatry's key competencies. To meet this, new working methods are required. You will contribute to ensuring that the operation's physicians have the right conditions to perform their work in the best possible way. As unit managers, you will have a particular focus on competency supply and work environment. Your mission is to create good conditions to attract, develop and retain expertise. You are expected to have leadership that makes physicians involved in development and improvement work and captures ideas and initiatives. Together with the physicians, you will create engagement, participation and development in the organization. You are a clear and communicative leader who encourages initiative and contributes to structure and overview. Your leadership is characterized by perseverance and a long-term perspective on change. Through clear organizational structures, you create overview and give physicians increased insight into how the operation is conducted. About the Workplace In Region Västmanland, all adult psychiatry is gathered in one organization, which creates good conditions for a well-functioning care chain and good cooperation between different units. Adult Psychiatry Västmanland is divided into two sections – inpatient care and outpatient care – and we are now seeking two engaged unit managers, one for each section. You have your own area of responsibility, but work as a team where you support and cover for each other. Together you create continuity, clarity and unified leadership for the operation. Inpatient care is located in Västerås and includes five care wards and an emergency department. Psychiatric care is provided around the clock for patients requiring inpatient care. Outpatient care operates in Västerås, Köping, Fagersta and Sala and offers specialized psychiatric care and treatment through clinic activities. As a unit manager, you will have the opportunity to lead and develop the operation together with engaged employees and colleagues, with a focus on creating an accessible, safe and person-centered psychiatric care. We value good collaboration with both internal and external partners. There are employees with extensive expertise in the psychiatric field and a genuine interest in working with people. Qualifications We are looking for someone with good knowledge of and experience in adult psychiatric operations and an interest in management and leadership. Experience in leadership with responsibility for operations, staff and finances, as well as experience in labor cooperation, is advantageous. You are preferably a specialist physician in adult psychiatry or have other academic training in healthcare, or have competence that the employer considers relevant. Management training, preferably in Developmental Leadership (UL), is advantageous. It is also advantageous to have knowledge of work environment and systematic work environment efforts as well as experience leading development and improvement work. You have a good ability to express yourself clearly in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, and a strong interest in psychiatric operations. Employment Terms Permanent employment within your basic profession with a time-limited management assignment for four years. Full-time, where part of the position consists of clinical service.
