Two Unit Managers for Baldersgården Special Residential Facility Do you want to lead an operation where your leadership makes a difference in everyday life – for both employees and the people we are here for? We are now recruiting two unit managers for Baldersgården. Baldersgården is a special residential facility in central Avesta, with four units and a total of 54 residential places. The two unit managers are responsible for different parts of the operation but work closely together on matters concerning the entire facility, such as routines, working methods, staffing, and operational development. This provides close collegial support in daily work and good opportunities to together create a clear direction for Baldersgården. One position involves management responsibility for day staff at the facility. The other position includes, in addition to responsibility for day staff, management responsibility for night staff working at all of Baldersgården as well as the municipality's night patrol that provides home care services at night. Here you have an independent management assignment – but you don't have to do it alone. The Assignment As a unit manager, you are responsible for operations, personnel, work environment, finances, and quality within your part of the operation. The assignment is both operational and strategic, and you need to be able to switch between daily operations and longer-term development work. You lead and distribute work, working with recruitment, rehabilitation, systematic work environment efforts, financial monitoring, and quality development. You also have contact with residents, relatives, and various collaboration partners. Within care and services, much is happening in digitalization and welfare technology. We therefore want you to be curious about new working methods and to see digital tools as a natural part of both everyday work and operational development. The two unit managers work closely together on overall operational and personnel matters. You therefore need to be comfortable sharing perspectives, finding common solutions, and contributing to the whole while taking full responsibility for your own management assignment. For us, present and trust-based leadership is important. You create clarity and participation, support your employees in their daily work, and give them the opportunity to take responsibility and develop. You are development-oriented and dare to come up with ideas and try new working methods. At the same time, you see the value of recognizing progress and minor improvements and use feedback to create engagement and motivation. As a unit manager, you are part of the care and services management group and contribute to the quality and development work of the entire operational area. To support you in your assignment, there is administrative support, HR consultant, recruiters, economist, and our staffing unit. As a new manager in Avesta Municipality, you will also benefit from the municipality's introduction and training initiatives for managers. Qualifications We are looking for someone with higher education that is relevant for a management position in municipal elderly care and operations conducted according to the Social Services Act. This could be education in social work, social care, health and care, behavioral science, or other higher education that the employer considers relevant. You have experience working in a management or supervisory function, such as manager, supervisor, or team leader. It is meritorious if you have previously been a manager in elderly care or other care and services operations. You have knowledge of and understanding for elderly care's mission and conditions. Experience from special residential facilities or other municipal elderly care is meritorious. We would also like to see that you have experience working in a politically governed organization, work environment and labor law, financial monitoring and budgeting, as well as staffing or personnel economics. For these positions, a B driving license, good Swedish language skills in speech and writing, and good digital competence are required. Who Are You? You are confident and clear in your leadership and combine stability with curiosity and care. You listen and take in different perspectives but also dare to make decisions and stand firm when needed. You find it easy to build trusting relationships and enjoy collaborating with others. Structure and organization are natural parts of your working style, but you can also adapt when conditions change. Above all, you see the value of leading together with others – with responsibility for your own operation but with the best of all Baldersgården in focus. Employment Form: Permanent position. Duration, start date: Start date by agreement.
