The Social Services Department is responsible for child and family care, elderly care, and care for people with disabilities. The Adult Services Section in Huddinge Municipality is seeking a unit manager for the Unit for Dropouts, Addiction, and Domestic Violence. As unit manager, you are responsible for a unit with 18 employees organized into three teams. The teams are led operationally by two team leaders. You have overall responsibility for operations, employees, work environment, and budget. The assignment involves leading and developing the operation based on the social services' goals, current legislation, and the municipality's strategic direction. You work closely with the section manager, other unit managers, and internal support functions. The role also involves collaboration with the region, the Police Authority, the Prison and Probation Service, civil society, and other authorities. The assignment includes: leading, developing, and following up on operations against set goals responsibility for quality, lawfulness, and operational development creating conditions for a sustainable working life and good employee relations working strategically with competence management and quality work responsibility for budget, forecasts, and financial follow-up contributing to the development of the section's collective mission participating in the municipality's on-call management system according to current organization. As a unit manager, you are also part of the municipality's POSOM organization (Psychosocial and Social Care in Accidents and Disasters). The assignment means that if needed, you participate in the municipality's crisis organization and contribute to coordination and support measures for affected persons and relatives during serious incidents. Qualification Requirements We are looking for someone who is a social worker or has other university education that the employer deems equivalent. You have: multi-year experience working in the social services sector experience with authority execution in the adult field good knowledge of social services legislation and lawful case handling experience with budget, personnel, and work environment responsibility very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish We consider it particularly meritorious if you have experience working in addiction care, domestic violence, with criminal dropouts, or other related areas. For this position, we place great emphasis on you having previous experience working as a unit manager in the current field of activity or related social services. You are a confident and clear leader who creates engagement, development, and participation. You have the ability to combine a strategic perspective with close and accessible leadership. You are structured, action-oriented, and thrive in an operation where both development work and operational issues are part of everyday life. You have the ability to work together with your staff to utilize their experiences and abilities in the unit's development work. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
