Your Role
As a unit manager, you have overall responsibility for operations, personnel, finances, and work environment at your unit.
Home care is an operation where conditions can change quickly and where planning, staffing, finances, and quality need to go hand in hand. You therefore need to be able to switch between operational and long-term thinking while maintaining an overall perspective.
You lead through close, clear, and trust-based management. You are present and available, create structure and participation, and give employees good conditions to succeed in their assignments.
In the role, you will, among other things:
lead, plan, develop, and follow up on operations
have personnel and work environment responsibility
be responsible for budget, resource planning, and results
actively work with staffing, scheduling, and resource use
drive systematic quality and improvement work
lead development and change initiatives
ensure that operations are conducted in accordance with applicable legislation, agreements, and quality requirements
ensure that the elderly person's needs, participation, security, and independence are at the center.
The position involves responsibility for employees who work nights. As part of your present management style, you are therefore expected to adjust your working hours as needed to regularly meet night staff, for example early mornings when they finish their shifts and at team meetings scheduled for evenings.

Your Competence and Experience
We are looking for you who have:
a degree in social work or relevant competence that can be approved by the City of Stockholm according to the city's requirements for responsible for daily operations in home care
experience as a manager with responsibility for personnel, finances, and operations
good knowledge of home care and its conditions
knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Social Services Act and the Work Environment Act
very good Swedish in speech and writing
good administrative and digital skills.
