About the Position At Mikaeligården, you will work in a shared leadership together with two other unit managers. The operation's objective is to create safe and secure care with a meaningful daily life where residents can live life on their own terms. The approach is person-centered with the goal that all residents feel secure, but also have the freedom to receive help and support based on their individual needs. Within the areas of dementia and cognitive impairment, we work with BPSD registrations and the approach is based on our established interaction plans that are an integral part of each individual's implementation plan. We offer meaningful work with interesting and challenging tasks. Örebro Municipality's leadership is based on our leadership platform where expectations of you as a manager are clarified in three areas: safe manager, proactive developer, and clear leader. The unit managers shall together create engagement and participation among employees. In the role, you contribute to good cooperation between different groups within your own unit, but also externally with others. Leading a person-centered approach for the team is central and permeates the entire operation and thus also the leadership. The goal is that all employees in the operation live the approach as a way of thinking, a way of being, and a way of doing and that we are so much better together. The team and our employees are the key to quality care and services. As a unit manager, you implement political decisions and run the operation with good quality within given financial frameworks. In consultation with the operation manager, the unit managers shall follow and develop results from financial, user, personnel, and quality perspectives. Examples of work tasks: Personnel, finance, and operational responsibility Run and follow up the operation against set goals Lead, support, and develop the competence of subordinate employees Work with a holistic view and make independent decisions within the operational area Cooperate with trade unions and other internal and external parties Develop the operation toward continuous quality improvement with the citizen in focus About the Workplace Mikaeligården is located in the residential area of old Hjärsta in the western part of Örebro Municipality, close to a health center and bus connections. The residence has a total of 56 places with focus on both somatic care and cognitive impairment and dementia diseases. The operation has, in addition to permanent places, short-term care and respite care. Approximately 60 employees work within the operation. Qualifications As a unit manager with us, we see that you are structured, results-oriented, and initiative-taking with a strategic and broad perspective on issues. A prerequisite is that you can express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Requirements: Academic degree of at least 180 credits in health sciences or social work, or another field that the employer deems equivalent Documented management experience with personnel, finance, and operational responsibility Experience with quality and development work Good computer skills Meritorious: Leadership training Experience in a leading position within residential care for the elderly (SÄBO) Experience of shared leadership Knowledge of labor law, social services law, and health and care law Scope and Start Date Employment form: permanent employment Employment rate: 100% Start date: by agreement Number of positions: 1 Other Information In our recruitment process, we use Assessio's MAP and Matrigma tests.
