Forellplan Care and Housing Facility is part of Gävle Municipality's elderly care services. Here we work with a focus on safety, quality, and participation, where the individual's needs are at the center. As a unit manager, you become part of a management team with four unit managers who work closely together and jointly develop the operations from a holistic perspective. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a unit manager, you have overall responsibility for your operations and are responsible for personnel, work environment, and budget. You lead the operations based on goals, governing documents, and applicable legislation and create conditions for safe and high-quality care and support. Your duties include, among other things: • Lead, plan, and follow up on operations based on established goals and applicable legislation • Create conditions for engagement, participation, and competence development among employees • Lead and follow up on operations based on trust-based leadership • Ensure good quality through systematic improvement work • Drive and follow up on development and change work within the operations • Collaborate with other units, support functions, residents, and relatives • Take responsibility for the operations' personnel, work environment, and finances You are a present manager who clarifies goals and direction and creates understanding for why decisions are made. You lead with trust and engagement and have the ability to create security even when the operations are undergoing change. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who has: • Higher education or university degree in social care, health and medical care, or other education and/or experience that the employer considers relevant for the position • Experience in management positions within elderly care • Experience with budget, personnel, and work environment responsibility Knowledge of dementia care is advantageous. Personal Competencies As a unit manager, you need to be able to see operations from a holistic perspective and create good relationships both within and outside your own operations.
