About the job As unit manager for the Administration and Systems Development 1 unit, you lead several development teams that maintain and develop new features in the agency's applications. You are also responsible for delivering support, development, and administration of some IT services provided by external IT vendors. You have a central role in the agency's efficiency and modernization efforts, where modern administration practices such as agile methodologies and process optimization are key. The unit is responsible for application administration and systems development, supporting everything from requirements analysis, design, development, and testing to deployment. Skolverket's application development is conducted in an agile manner. You participate in some of the steering committees for the agency's seven administration objects and ensure that IT-related administration supports operations effectively. You have budget responsibility for IT administration. In the department's management group, you contribute to good leadership, governance, and coordination of the department's mission. The department is characterized by a cross-functional approach where IT development and administration follow an agile mindset with scrum as the development methodology. Read more at www.skolverket.se/jobb For this position you should have A university degree in data and systems science or another education combined with work experience that Skolverket deems relevant, Current management experience in IT, including operational, personnel, and budget responsibility Experience working in an IT management group Multiple years of current experience working with IT in a state authority Current experience with governance, planning, budgeting, and follow-up Current experience with strategic IT work in the school sector Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish. It is meritorious if you have experience working with the PM3 administration governance model. It is also meritorious if you have experience driving IT development work with agile processes.
