Nora Municipality is seeking a unit manager who wants to lead the work with culture school and nature school. Culture and Nature School is part of the Culture and Leisure operational area along with the units Library and Culture, Youth Leisure, and Recreation and Associations. Culture and Nature School comprises, in addition to the unit manager, nine culture school pedagogues who teach music, theater, dance, and visual arts and crafts, as well as a nature school pedagogue. The culture school offers courses for children and young people ages 4-19 and has approximately 490 student places. The culture school is located in Nora Kulturhus together with a library and art hall. Teaching is also conducted at Teaterbiografen and in Allaktivitetshuset. The nature school conducts primarily outreach activities within all grades of primary school as well as for youth leisure, SFI, and IM.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As unit manager for Culture and Nature School, you have overall responsibility for operations, finances, personnel, work environment, and facilities within your unit. You lead, plan, and follow up, while also having an important role in further developing and shaping the activities going forward. You will work together with the pedagogues to ensure high quality teaching, organize concerts, performances, vernissages, and holiday activities. Your role involves handling both strategic issues and the day-to-day operations. The work involves close collaboration both within the municipality and with external actors in Nora's cultural and community life. The nature school's activities are conducted largely within the school's mandate and take place in close collaboration with the Children and Education Department, as well as with AME. You are part of the management group for Culture and Leisure. Nora culture school is part of regional culture school cooperation in Örebro County.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Degree in pedagogy or culture, or alternatively another university education that the employer considers equivalent.
• Experience working within a culture school.
• Experience in pedagogical activities or activities directed toward children and young people.
• Experience in a supervisory role.
We are looking for someone who is a good organizer and who can plan and structure your work. You are attentive and have the ability to create engagement and direction even during changes. Your collaboration skills should be well developed. Good ability to build relationships both internally and externally, with particular focus on increased participation and involvement of children and young people. You are communicative and express yourself well in speech and writing and should be able to meet guardians and others in a trustworthy manner. You are comfortable with digital systems and administration.
A driver's license (category B) is required for the position.
