As unit manager for our Operations unit, you will have a central role in leading and developing an operation that is crucial for safe and sustainable water and wastewater supply. You are responsible for operations, operational monitoring, planning and preparedness, and have the opportunity to develop both work methods and operations together with engaged employees. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As unit manager for the Operations unit, you lead an important operation with responsibility for the area's tactical coordination function. The unit translates strategic objectives and tactical plans into executable work orders, ensures operational continuity, and creates conditions for a systematic, risk-based, and data-driven approach. You are responsible for creating structure, clear priorities, and efficient work methods that contribute to high operational reliability and effective resource utilization. The assignment also includes contributing to sustainable stormwater management and safe distribution to our neighboring municipalities. You lead the operation through strategic planning, prioritization, and follow-up of assignments, objectives, economy, and risks. You are an active part of the area's management team and serve as important support to the area manager in tactical matters, planning, and decision-making. The role also involves implementing and following up on decisions made, as well as ensuring that legal requirements, internal guidelines, and objectives are met. As unit manager, you collaborate closely with other units, areas, and support functions. You represent the area and the water and wastewater department in internal and external forums and contribute to joint priorities and development initiatives. The position is based at our headquarters in Ulvsunda, but since operations are conducted throughout Stockholm and Huddinge, you will also work from our office in Högdalen. Some of your main responsibilities: • Lead the unit's operations through planning, prioritization, and follow-up of assignments, objectives, economy, and risks. • Responsible for the unit's planning and preparation of operations and maintenance measures. • Responsible for technical specifications in procurements and management of contractor orders. • Follow up and report facility status and operational deviations. • Responsible for on-call and emergency preparedness organization as well as emergency water distribution. • Responsible for the area's customer processes and develop work methods for quality-assured basis for billing • Develop and optimize operations and maintenance processes with a focus on high availability, energy efficiency, and reduced risk of operational disruptions. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for a confident and engaging leader with experience leading operations in maintenance of mission-critical infrastructure. You have the ability to combine a strategic perspective with understanding of operational activities and are comfortable translating objectives and decisions into concrete implementation. To succeed in the role of unit manager for Operations, we would like you to have the following background, experience, and knowledge: • Experience leading operations with responsibility for employees, work environment, and budget. • Relevant academic degree of at least 3 years • Formal competence in maintenance and operations • Experience in asset management is desirable • B driver's license • Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written, is desirable • Swedish spoken and written, Swedish citizenship • Swedish citizenship Furthermore, you are a clear and engaging leader with strong strategic and analytical skills. You see the bigger picture, create direction, and translate strategies into concrete activities and results. You are experienced in leading change and development work and have the ability to quickly grasp new areas. You have good planning skills and can balance long-term strategic issues with operational priorities. You collaborate well at different levels in the organization and have the ability to influence and create engagement through clear communication. You are confident in handling both everyday matters and complex situations within the operations area. It is desirable if you have experience with strategic work on processes and procedures, as well as high digital competence and experience using modern tools for operations management. Experience with systematic approaches, such as ISO-based management systems or equivalent, is highly desirable. Employment form: Permanent position.
