Unit Manager Would you like to facilitate people with foreign qualifications in seeking work or studying in Sweden? We are now recruiting a unit manager for the Division of Competence Supply and Case Management, within the Assessment operations area. The Swedish National Agency for Higher Education (UHR) is a state authority with a broad mandate in the field of education. Our vision is education, exchange and development - for all who want to move forward. The Division of Competence Supply and Case Management brings together three operations areas: admissions, assessment and international. The division works with case management processes and contributes to national competence supply from a holistic perspective. The division's management and governance are based on its mandate with a focus on development and deliverables within and between each operations area. What you will be responsible for The Assessment operations area is tasked with issuing statements on foreign education at upper secondary and post-secondary levels and issuing opinions to competent authorities on foreign qualifications in regulated professions. The mandate also includes informing about the Swedish education system and recognition of foreign qualifications. The position as unit manager is placed in one of the three units within the Assessment operations area. The unit consists of approximately 20 employees. As a unit manager, you have budget and personnel responsibility for the unit's employees. You are part of the division's management team and therefore share joint responsibility with other managers for coordination, development and strategic direction of the division's operations as a whole. The position also includes other operational tasks compatible with the role of unit manager. The operations are undergoing an exciting transformation and have had a new organization of the mandate since September. You will be part of the operations area's management team, which consists of three unit managers, working together on development, planning, management and follow-up of operations. You You have: Academic degree or equivalent as assessed by the employer to be equivalent Current experience as a manager with personnel, operational and budget responsibility Good knowledge of and at least five years' experience from the education sector or other experience that the employer assesses as equivalent Experience leading or driving digitalization and operational development work within case management operations, with a focus on developing processes, working methods and digital solutions Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, spoken and written It is a merit if you have: Experience assessing foreign qualifications Managerial experience from a management position in a state authority Management team experience To function well in the role of unit manager, you need to have: Ability to see the big picture, prioritize and drive operations toward set goals and results Ability to lead and develop operations in change and adapt working methods based on changed needs and conditions Very good judgment and ability to weigh different perspectives, make priorities and make well-founded decisions Very good collaboration skills where you create good relationships with those around you and build trust We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
