The care and elderly services department is responsible for regular housing, residential care facilities, short-term and respite care, day activities, coordinators, health and medical care, and rehabilitation. We place great emphasis on providing you with a good introduction so you feel secure with us, and we work with mentorship so you always have an experienced colleague to turn to with any questions and concerns. All managers within care and elderly services meet together once a month, and between these meetings, we have operational meetings and weekly check-ins with nearby colleagues to discuss matters. Responsibilities As a unit leader, you are responsible for leading, developing, and monitoring operations within your area. You have personnel, work environment, budget, and operational responsibility and work closely with both staff, colleagues, and management to ensure high-quality care. This is a complex and responsible assignment that requires both leadership ability and a deep understanding of care and elderly services. It's a multifaceted role where you will, among other things, be responsible for: Leading, coaching, and developing employees and work teams Ensuring that operations are conducted efficiently, cost-consciously, with high quality and with good conditions for participation and engagement based on politically set goals and decisions. Managing budget, planning, and resource allocation Driving improvement and development initiatives Collaborating with other operations, relatives, and external stakeholders Contributing to the development of Mora municipality as an attractive employer and creating sustainable competence supply where you as a leader motivate and develop the employees you have employer responsibility for toward goal achievement. Being proactive in monitoring the external environment within your operational area and represent our municipality in various networks and in contacts with business, authorities, and organizations. Qualifications Relevant university degree, for example as a social worker, nurse, or equivalent knowledge level that we as an employer deem equivalent. Documented experience as a manager with personnel and budget responsibility, preferably within care and elderly services. Good knowledge of the laws governing our operations, specifically the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL). Good IT skills and the ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish, as you will work with digital operational systems on a daily basis. Experience leading through change and development of operations, as well as experience working within a politically governed organization, is advantageous.
